Lets be Friends,

"To me, clothing is a form of self-expression - There are hints about who your are in what you wear" - marc Jacobs

Let’s get to know each other! My name is Lydia, I am a personal fashion stylist in Charleston, SC. I am passionate about Jesus, my family, the beach, dancing, and spending quality time with friends!

I created Elizabeth & Lane after I found so many of the women in my life felt discouraged and confused when it came to styling an outfit for themselves. They had good pieces in their wardrobe – but didn’t know how to translate that into a put together look. After helping them understand what makes an outfit look pulled together, and teaching them how to dress their body type, they were able to shop for the right pieces and continually create new looks with their existing wardrobe. After helping these ladies find their style and learning how to dress - I could see how that change increased their confidence and made them glow from the inside out. They finally were able to translate their personality into their clothing, and that made the world of difference – in their work, in their personal life, and just how they carried themselves. That’s why I love this work, and that’s why I created Elizabeth & Lane. My desire is to continue to empower women and make them feel confident and beautiful again!

my inspiration

One of the first questions I get asked is about my business name! No, my name isn't Elizabeth or Lane - I decided to dedicate the name of my company after the two most important ladies in my life - my mother and my sister. My mom's middle name is Elizabeth and my sister's middle name is Lane. They are my inspiration and constant encouragement as I continue to do what I love.

I have loved fashion from a very young age - Project Runway, What Not To Wear, and Say Yes To The Dress were some of my favorite shows! Actually as a young teen my very first "job" was as a personal stylist for my sister....

When I was about 13 years old, my older sister paid me $5 a week to pick out her clothes every day. I had forgotten that I used to do this until I started putting together this business. I found it funny because there I was at 13 years old being a personal stylist - and now here I am ten years later getting to do what I love as my job!

My favorite inspiration have been my clients! The women I have worked with so far have been amazing! I am so blessed to be able to style women and bring out the confidence that comes with knowing you look put together. Seeing the look of relief when the stress is taken away from choosing outfits and shopping! I can't wait to help you have that stress free style!
