What is a Style Strategy Session?

More times than I can count I have opened my closet, looked at all my clothes, and said out loud --- I have nothing to wear.  I have no doubt that you have done the same thing once or twice. It might be that you haven’t gotten rid of clothes in some time, and you’re stuck wearing that same clothes over and over. Maybe you have several “looks” that you know work for you, but you don’t know how to branch out and try something new. For some of y’all, you might be stuck in a vicious cycle of getting rid of things you don’t wear only to fill your wardrobe again with clothes you still don’t wear!

Chances are – the clothes you purchase are great, but maybe you don’t know how to wear them. I’m not saying you can’t put together an outfit; BUT its another thing to have a complete outfit!

During the Style Strategy Session I will help you define your style, organize and declutter, make the most of what you have, and give a list of staples needed to elevate your look.

1.     Defining your style.

Sometimes, when people think “style” in terms of fashion – they think specifically a title style. What I mean by that is the title of “boho” style or “sporty” – you can certainly have that style – but I believe that style is more of who a person is. I LOVE this definition of style because it represents more than a title, it brings into account who the person is behind the style.

Style: Characteristics or elements combined and expressed in a particular (often unique) and consistent manner.

I love this definition because it brings out the fact that style in unique. Each person's personality is unique to who they are – that is my goal in empowering women – I want to help them find their OWN style - Clothing that is expressive of who they are. Style is not hopping on every fashion bandwagon that comes along. Style is having a wardrobe that represents YOU; Your personality, your lifestyle – translating your passions and things that are important to you into your clothing.

2.     Organization + Clean Out.

Remember your favorite sundress you definitely forgot about because it was stuffed in the back of your closet? This is a typical symptom of a disorganized and overfull wardrobe. Getting organized and cleaning out items that don’t fit well, things that aren’t “you” can help you discover your clothes again. Knowing what you have, and where is it will make it 10x easier to just get dressed in the morning. For me having that space neat and tidy takes away a level of stress that does not need to be part of your day. PLUS finding pieces your forgot you had is like find 5 bucks in the back pocket of your jeans!!

3.     Making the Most of your Wardrobe.

Teaching you how to put together an outfit! That top you love – but never war because you don’t know what to put it with? Or what about that “special” item that still have the tag on it because you’re saving it for a specific occasion – that somehow never comes – lets utilize it! YOU were the clothes – not the other way around!

4. Create a shopping list.

Once you have a better idea of what you actually own – I can create a shopping list of items needed to be able to wear all you of your wardrobe. Maybe you have a lot of statement pieces and need a few basics to be able to ground the outfit. Or maybe you have a lot of basics – but you need a statement piece to bring everything together and elevate your look! By creating a shopping list of things needed to make the most of what you have, you will have a less stressful time shopping for these pieces. We will establish exactly what you need, so when you walk into a store it will be with confidence and ease.
